The Sunday toll suspension on Florida’s Sanibel Causeway will be extended by three weeks through September 24, WFTX reports. Lee County commissioners voted yesterday to extend a “Savor the Shore” campaign designed to entice visitors to Sanibel and Captiva islands, where businesses are still struggling to recover from 2022’s Hurricane Ian. The promotion initially was scheduled to end on September 10.
