WPMI reports, “Mobile County [Alabama] Commissioner Jerry Carl, who is running for Congress, made waves this week when he said . . . that as soon as construction begins on the 1-10 Mobile River Bridge project, the Wallace Tunnel would be tolled.” An ALDOT spokesperson reportedly issued a prompt denial of the claim, telling WPMI, “We have always said and are committed to no early tolling.”
