Houston Chronicle reports on HCTRA’s planned weekend closure of the Hardy Toll Road starting on July 15 to complete the final stage of the highway’s conversion to all-electronic tolling. “During the closing, crews will demolish the toll plazas and replace everything with automated toll gantries. Once the Hardy reopens, vehicles must have a transponder such as an EZ TAG or TxTag.”
