The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) has issued a request for proposal (RFP) for a Roadway System – RFP #5006100 related to tolling services. SANDAG anticipates awarding one Contract under this RFP.
SANDAG operates two toll facilities in the San Diego region: The I-15 Express Lanes (EL), a twenty- mile express lane facility and South Bay Expressway/SR-125, a conventional toll facility with cash, credit card, manual, and electronic and open road toll collection.
Proposals are being sought from qualified firms with the expertise, experience, capacity and resources to design, develop, implement, and maintain a Roadway tolling system (Project) to support the San Diego region. The Project will replace SANDAG’s existing I-15 EL and South Bay Expressway/SR-125 Roadway tolling systems with a new toll system to be provided and maintained by a single Contractor. This new Roadway System will incorporate recent innovations and progress in design and maintenance of conventional roadway and express lane toll systems and will provide for future growth in traffic in the region. An option is also included for a planned conventional toll facility on SR-11 at the Otay Mesa Mexican border crossing.
SANDAG is an equal opportunity employer, as a matter of policy, encourages the participation of small businesses that are owned and controlled by minorities and women.
