Delaware Amnesty Program For Toll Violators Starts Tomorrow
The Center Square reports, Delaware’s three-month-long Toll Violation Amnesty Program starts tomorrow. It is open to any driver with outstanding SR 1 or I-95 toll violations incurred between January 1, 2014, and April 30, 2020. DelDOT will be mailing notices to violators informing them of their one-time opportunity to pay one fee plus tolls due instead of the fees and penalties accrued from the toll violation. A department spokesman explained that the intent of the legislation authorizing the program “is really to help folks who may have moved or for whatever reason have not been able to keep track of a violation – to take care of those at a much more affordable cost.”
