Unions, Business Groups Press For New Jersey Infrastructure Investments

He quotes operating engineers union leader Greg Lalevee as saying, “Infrastructure has led us out of everything: It led us out of the Great Depression, it led us out of the Great Recession. Just look at the amount of private investment in warehouses and port operations that followed the Turnpike expansion. There’s an absolute bright line that can be drawn from public investment creating private investment creating a great economy.”
