Illinois Tollway Opens New I-90/Route 23 Interchange

Northwest Herald reports, the Illinois Tollway’s new Jane Addams Tollway (I-90) interchange with Route 23 opened last Friday, a few days ahead of schedule. The new ramps, located near Marengo, give McHenry County residents their first direct access to the tollway.

Shippers Launch "Cargo Bike" Pilot in Manhattan

“Material Handling & Logistics” reports, “DHL . . . announced it is rolling out its Cubicycle in New York City, participating in a [six-month] pilot program to test the use of cargo bikes to alleviate traffic congestion as well as lessen air and noise pollution in the city’s crowded streets.” The article notes that Amazon and UPS will join DHL in the pilot and “as many as 100 bikes will be deployed in Manhattan’s Central Business District south of 60th Street.”
