Harris County Toll Road Authority chief Roberto Trevino, who joined the agency after the project’s launch, says “We’re [now] going with old faithful. We’re going with the standard design that secures the best cost and schedule for the county.” He adds that the span’s outward appearance will not change, although the new engineering plan will allow for the addition of a bike path.
