New Hampshire Liquor Commission Gets Green Light To Develop Stores Along Turnpike
Seacoastonline reports, the New Hampshire Liquor Commission has reached a deal allowing it to pursue redevelopment of its twin state-owned liquor stores on the I-95 (Blue Star Turnpike) corridor in Hampton, just north of the Massachusetts border. In addition to more than doubling both liquor outlets to 22,000 square feet, the Liquor Commission seeks to sell a 64-acre plot and another 24-acre plot on the north- and southbound sides, respectively. Original plans to develop the land for hotels and casinos were rejected by local leaders. “The expectation is developers will bring businesses such as retail stores, restaurants, gas stations with electric charging stations, along with rest areas, information kiosks, and other visitor attractions.”
