Kansas Turnpike Requests Proposals From Food Service Vendors

The Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA) announced that it is requesting proposals from qualified “quick service restaurant vendors” interested in providing food at four KTA service areas, Towanda, Matfield Green, Emporia and Topeka. The request for proposal and related documents are online at KTA’s “Business Opportunities” web page. The authority anticipates the selected vendor(s) will  begin to operate on April 15, 2023.

Pennsylvania Anticipates 12-Year Capital Expenditure Of $84 Billion For Transportation

PennDOT announced that the State Transportation Commission this week completed an update of the commonwealth’s 12-Year Program (TYP) for transportation investment. “The new plan anticipates $84 billion will be available over the next 12 years for improvements to roads, bridges, transit systems, airports and railroads.” The revised TYP, effective on October 1, anticipates that combined federal, state and local funding for highway and bridge projects will be $16 billion over the first four years.
