Kapsch TrafficCom secures new contract for Supply of Electronic Tags to Roads and Maritime Services NSW
Vienna/New South Wales, October 11, 2016 – Kapsch TrafficCom AG (ISIN AT000KAPSCH9), listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange in the prime market segment, announces that its subsidiary Kapsch TrafficCom Australia Pty Ltd has reached agreement with Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) in New South Wales, Australia for the supply of electronic transponders under a 2-year framework agreement, with options for extending a further 2+1 years. This contract has a potential value of over 15 million EUR (24 million AUD) if both extensions are exercised.

Kapsch will deliver to RMS the latest in cutting-edge tolling transponder technology, its TRP 4010 transponder. The TRP 4010 fulfils all CEN performance requirements, and is proven in demanding applications including high-speed multi-lane free-flow and congested and stop-and-go traffic environments. Data security and integrity is ensured through a high degree of integration in combination with efficient integral cryptographic functions based on the DES and triple-DES algorithms.
