The County of Kane, State of Illinois, is soliciting interest from Toll Agencies, Toll System Operators, and Toll System Integrators, to purchase unused electronic toll collection equipment. The County purchased the equipment for a proposed All-Electronic Toll Collection System on the newly constructed Longmeadow Parkway Bridge, which the County has since elected not to toll. The equipment was purchased as new and was never installed. Further information on the Longmeadow Parkway Bridge Project can be found at:

The toll collection equipment consists of a full set of hardware, electronics, and spares, required to install, operate, and maintain a four-lane cashless tolling system with fully overhead sensors. All equipment was purchased new in mid-2021 and has since been stored in a climate-controlled warehouse. Major components include Kapsch multiprotocol RFID automatic vehicle identification equipment, SICK overhead automatic vehicle detection and classification equipment, JAI license plate image capture equipment, AXIS digital video audit equipment, Dell server equipment, APC UPS equipment, and Extreme Networks & Phoenix Contact communications equipment. A full list of toll collection equipment is available and can be provided by the County upon request.
