MTC Conducts Public Outreach On Plan Bay Area 2050 Update

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) and its partner agency ABAG announced a schedule of “Pop-Up events” designed to gather public input on the development of Plan Bay Area 2050+, the update to the visionary long-range strategy document MTC adopted in 2021. During 18 events to be held throughout the Bay Area over the next six weeks, commission staff will invite residents to share their thinking on the broad topics of transportation, housing, economic development, and environmental resilience, as well as particular issues related to transit network expansion, housing affordability, and post-pandemic economic growth. Plan Bay Area 2050+ is scheduled for adoption in late 2025.

MTC and ABAG also welcome the public to comment this summer via phone, email, US mail and an online survey.
