A-To-Be Wins A Contract To Replace The SH 130 Concession's Toll System

A-to-Be announced that the SH 130 Concession Company awarded it a multiyear contract to replace the concession’s existing toll collection system. According to the Brisa affiliate’s news release, it will implement the “A-to-Be LinkBeyond solution, including the Open Road Tolling subsystem for the
toll zones, the Toll Management subsystem project host, the Maintenance Online Management Subsystem, and the Digital Video Audit subsystem.”

TRB Schedules Industry Hiring And Networking Event

The Transportation Research Board will host another virtual TRB Careers in Motion Networking Fair on Wednesday, February 17, 2022, from 12:00- 3:00 PM Eastern. “Attendees,” says TRB, “will have the opportunity to live chat directly with hiring managers, get instant feedback on their qualifications, and learn about job opportunities first hand. Job candidates will meet and network with dozens of prospective employers from a wide range of multimodal transportation-related disciplines, including engineering, consulting, operations, planning and more!” The event is open to attendees at any career level who complete the online registration.

Driver Whose Pursuit Ended In CBBT Crash Charged With Attempted Murder

WTVR reports, a driver who led police officers on a high-speed chase across parts of Maryland and Virginia before crashing at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel has been charged with attempted murder, as well as driving under the influence of drugs and abduction. Although the incident happened nearly two months ago, a passenger injured in the vehicle crash remains hospitalized.
