ARTBA Has Elected Its 2021-2022 Officers

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) announced the election of its 2021-2022 officers. Ward Nye, chairman and CEO of Martin Marietta, was elected association chairman. Paula Hammond, a WSP USA executive, and Tim Duit, president of Duit Holdings, will serve as senior vice chair and first vice chair, respectively. David Harwood, Jeff Nelson, Jim Fehsenfeld, Lisa Robert, Kevin Cornish, Tony Fassino, Randy Lake, Tom O’Grady, Michael Vecellio and Dave Zanetell were elected regional or at-large vice chairs. Tom Hill will serve as treasurer.

Twelve DOT Projects Advance In America’s Transportation Awards Competition

The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) announced the 12 finalists in the 2021 America’s Transportation Awards competition. “State department of transportation projects in Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Utah have earned the highest number of points in the regional contests, solidifying a place in this year’s Top 12.” The finalists, chosen from among 80 nominees, will now compete for a grand prize and the People’s Choice Award.
