New Maine Turnpike Toll Plaza Is On Track To Open After Labor Day

WMTW reports, paving work is underway at the Maine Turnpike’s relocated York toll plaza, which is on schedule to open fully “soon after Labor Day.” The facility will have six highway-speed, open-road E-ZPass lanes (three in each direction) and a total of nine cash lanes. “Once work on the new plaza is done, crews will demolish and remove the existing . . . toll plaza, tunnel and administration building. The highway there will then have three lanes heading south and four lanes going north.”
