El Paso Urges Motorists To Get A Transponder
KFOX News reports, concern about the spread of COVID-19 has El Paso, Texas, officials urging motorists to obtain and use E-Fast Pass, the electronic toll payment system of the city’s International Bridges department. The city does not charge a transponder fee, and it offers a discount toll rate for using E-Fast Pass at two of its facilities, the Stanton and Zaragoza Bridges.

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) this week recognized several industry people and entities as “as models of excellence in innovative transportation finance and leadership” during its annual (and this year, virtual) Public Private Partnerships in Transportation Conference. Awards went to Louisiana DOTD Secretary Dr. Shawn Wilson (“Trailblazer of the Year”); ACS Infrastructure Development’s Noah Jolley (“Emerging Leader”); PennDOT and Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners (“Innovation of the Year” for the Pennsylvania Rapid Bridge Replacement Project); and Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, and Plenary Roads State Street (“Community Impact of the Year” for the State Street Redevelopment Project.
