Nobel Laureate Lectures Today on Processing Transportation Data for Predictive Analysis
Northwestern University announced that today’s 2019 Leon N. Moses Distinguished Lecture in Transportation will be delivered by Nobel laureate Daniel McFadden, who will discuss data models for processing the vast amount of information now available from highway sensors and electronic toll collection and GPS tracking systems. The title of the lecture is, “Attend! Consider! Decide!: What planners and machines must learn to predict travel behavior.” McFadden, co-recipient of the 2000 Nobel Prize in economics, is on the faculties of the University of Southern California and the University of California, Berkeley.
