CCRMA Project Will Require Feds to Move Border Wall Section
Rio Grande Guardian reports that a federal judge’s order means the Department of Homeland Security will have to move a “small” section of the US-Mexico border fence when the Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority is ready to begin construction of the East Loop (a multi-lane highway designated SH 32 that will connect SH 4 to I-69E (US 77/83) and the Veterans International Bridge to provide an alternate route for commercial vehicles.)

San Francisco Chronicle reports, “A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer was [injured] by a car on the Bay Bridge while trying to pull over another driver [yesterday] morning, according to the CHP. The motorcycle officer was making a traffic stop . . . just past the toll plaza at about 7:20 a.m. when another car cut across two lanes and sideswiped the CHP officer. . . .” The newspaper also reported that westbound bridge lanes were blocked for over an hour because of the accident.

The Economic Times reports, “Moving swiftly on the government’s plan to switch to electronic toll collection on national highways from December 1, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has equipped nearly 75% of national highways with e-tolling infrastructure.”
