Louisville-Southern Indiana Bridges Toll Rates Increase July 1

RiverLink, the Louisville-Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges electronic toll system, announced that toll rates will rise on July 1. Crossings of the I-65 Abraham Lincoln Bridge, the I-65 Kennedy Bridge, and the SR 265 Lewis and Clark Bridge will range from $2.68 for transponder account holders driving passenger cars to $16.01 for trucks with five or more axles paying by mail.

A policy of the the bistate (Kentucky-Indiana) body that oversees the toll system permits annual rate adjustments of 2.5 percent unless the rate of inflation measured by the Consumer Price Index is higher. The April 2025 index was 2.3 percent.

A Fixed-Price Toll Pass, Good For Up To 200 Trips, Will Be Available To India's Drivers In August

Nitin Gadkari, India’s road transport and highway minister, announced today that FASTag account holders with non-commercial passenger vehicles will be eligible to purchase a renewable, prepaid toll roads pass. The INR 3,000 (USD 34.70) pass will be good for one year from the date of activation for up to 200 trips on National Highways Authority of India tollways throughout the country. A trip is defined as crossing a single toll point in an open system or one journey in a closed system. A pass will be renewable online. If not renewed, the pass holder’s account will revert to conventional FASTag status. Passes will not be honored on facilities maintained by state and local agencies, which will continue to charge all motorists at their regular rates.

Gadkari said the RFID-0based pass will facilitate passage through toll plazas and reduce travel expense. Officials estimate that the cost of 200 trips taken without the pass is INR 10,000 (USD 115.68). The ministry announced planning of the pass offer several months ago. The government has been under intense criticized for its expansion of tolling and for various toll policies and collection challenges. The ministry reportedly sees the pass program, which takes effect on August 15, as a comprehensive answer to these problems.
