German Lawmakers Reject Autobahn Speed Limit Proposal

Automobile reports that Germany’s parliament yesterday voted down another effort to impose an 80 MPH speed limit on sections of the Autobahn that don’t have speed restrictions. However, the issue is not dead, since a vote on establishing a nationwide maximum speed limit is anticipated to take place next February.

Nigeria's Government Rejects States' P3 Plan for Highway Improvement

Daily Post reports, Nigeria’s federal government has rejected a joint proposal by two state governments to take over control of three national roads. State leaders wanted to enter into toll-funded P3 agreements for the maintenance and operation of the highways, but national authorities rejected privatization in favor of a plan to cooperate with the states on improvement projects.
