Maryland's Hatem Bridge Project Advances
The Baltimore Sun has an update on the progress of Hatem toll bridge improvements. The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is in the midst of a project to upgrade pavement, remove the vacated toll plaza and construct a new toll gantry with “Information Technology System equipment.” The article notes that MDTA converted the bridge to cashless tolling last year. Maryland subsequently adopted cashless tolling on a statewide basis.
