CFX-Hosted Summit Will Explore ACES Mobility

The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) announced it will host the ninth annual Florida Automated Vehicles (FAV) Summit in Orlando from November 29 through December 1, 2021. The focus of the event will be autonomous, connected, electric and shared (ACES) mobility, and speakers will include “nationally recognized experts and industry leaders to discuss the state of autonomous and connected vehicle technologies, implementation opportunities, and challenges to successfully integrate these within existing transportation networks.” Live demonstrations of technology will also feature in the program. The Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA), TEAMFL, the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, and the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) helped  CFX organize the event.

SRTA Accepts Applications For New Round Of Infrastructure Bank Grants And Loans

The State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) is accepting applications now through December 15 for up to $15 million in fuel-tax-funded grants and loans available to Georgia local, regional, and state government entities, as well as community improvement districts. SRTA administers the Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank (GTIB) program, a revolving infrastructure investment fund that makes competitive awards to “to help jumpstart or complete much-needed transportation improvement projects” that “improve mobility and enhance communities.” Since its inception in 2010, the program has provided $165 million in grants and loans that supported more than $965 million in total project value.
