NJ County Bridge Commission Announces Leadership Changes

The Burlington County (NJ) Bridge Commission (via InsiderNJ) announced the changes following its annual reorganization meeting. Commissioner Matt Riggins (formerly vice chairman) became State Senator Troy Singleton’s replacement as chairman. Sandra Nunes was sworn in as the newest commissioner and named the new vice-chair. In addition to operating two toll bridges, the commission serves as the county’s improvement authority, overseeing regional planning, economic development and small business loan programs.

Dulles Greenway Opens Registration For Spring Fundraising Event

InsideNoVa.com reports, the Dulles Greenway has opened registration for its first annual Run the Greenway event, scheduled for May 1, 2021. The public is invited to participate in 5K or 10K competitions, an 800-meter Kids Fun Run or a virtual race. The event will commemorate the tollway’s 25th anniversary and raise funds for the benefit of several local charities, including a free clinic, a wildlife conservancy and the YMCA. Renée Hamilton, CEO of TRIP II, the tollway’s operator, said, “We are honored to partner with and invest in local organizations that are making positive contributions to our community.”
