Court Dismisses Dulles Greenway Lawsuit Against Virginia
“The state of Virginia convinced a federal court to dismiss a lawsuit alleging it unlawfully drove the owners of the Dulles Greenway toll road into bankruptcy by refusing to let them increase toll prices,” Bloomberg Law reports. Atlas Arteria, which owns the Greenway through subsidiary Toll Road Investors Partnership II (TRIP II), said in a press release that TRIP II is considering an appeal, but that the company remains committed to the state and that its most recent rate case is progressing on schedule.

As reported last week by Jacksonville Today, Florida DOT was set to open a new segment of its First Coast Expressway today. The first section opened in 2019, and work continues on a final segment to complete the 46-mile tollway.

The 3.8 percent increase for the tolled bridges connecting Southern Indiana and Louisville, Kentucky, reflects the rate of inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index, WDRB News reports. “The new tolls will range from $2.79 for passenger cars to $16.62 for trucks with five or more axles, depending on the type of vehicle and whether it has a transponder.”
