KPRC: Houston Residents Are "Thrilled" By The Opening Of New Grand Parkway Segments

VDOT Will Suspend Some Express Lanes Tolling On Memorial Day

Virginia DOT announced it will ease Memorial Day weekend travel “by suspending most highway work zones and lifting most lane closures on interstates and other major roads in Virginia from noon on Friday, May 27 until noon on Tuesday, May 31.” In particular, on I-66 around metro DC and on I-64, I-264 and I-564 in the Hampton Roads region, VDOT will suspend HOV restrictions and express lane toll collection on May 30.

NLEX Plans To Start Two Major Construction Projects

Philippine Daily Inquirer reports, NLEX Corporation, the Metro Pacific Tollways subsidiary, announced it will launch two major infrastructure projects in the second half of this year. It will begin constructing the first two kilometers of the NLEX C-5 Link, which it calls “a vital portion of the . . . Urban Ring Road or the interconnected tollway network that is being developed to link up the west, east, north and south sides of Metro Manila.” It will also start work on a third span of the Candaba Viaduct, which carries the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) between between the provinces of Bulacan and Pampanga outside metro Manila.
