Work Zone Speed Camera Bill Hits a Bump in Indiana's Senate

The Journal Gazette reports, several Republican lawmakers, members of an Indiana Senate committee, balked at approving a bill (SB 268) that would authorize state police to conduct a work zone speed enforcement pilot using cameras. Concerns about privacy and ticketing registered vehicle owners instead of drivers led the committee to hold the bill until next week.

Small, Fully Autonomous Delivery Vehicles May Now Use California Roads

Marketplace reports, on Friday, January 17, California began allowing permit holders to test and commercially use small autonomous delivery vehicles on its public roads. According to the article, “That could include small delivery bots, dropping off everything from pizza to groceries.” The authorization was granted under revised regulations of the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles approved in December.
