Administrator Is Satisfied With Progress Of I-5 Bridge Replacement Planning

The Reflector interviews Greg Johnson, bistate administrator of the Interstate Bridge Replacement Project, about his role, the equity-focused public advisory panel, and issues of conflict that Washington State and Oregon stakeholders need to resolve. Johnson believes “the current phase of project development has been going ‘tremendously well,’ focusing on community outreach in order to get an idea of what locals want to see in the eventual build.”

A Biden Infrastructure Plan Is Coming, And It Could Reach $3 Trillion

Transport Topics reports that passing another COVID-19 relief bill is the top item on the capitol agenda this week, but the president and congressional leaders “continue to signal interest in presenting to the public a big-ticket, climate change-centric, transformative infrastructure plan.” There’s even “buzz” that the president may propose $3 trillion in spending. Congressional Republicans are complaining that their views aren’t being considered in the infrastructure package drafting process.

Reminder: Public Hearing In Tampa Tomorrow On Selmon Expressway Project

The Tampa-Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) will hold an in-person public hearing tomorrow evening on the South Selmon Project Development and Environment Study. The purpose of the study is to evaluate how to add additional capacity within the existing Selmon Expressway right-of-way. All public hearing materials and additional information about the study can be found at the PD&E study website.
