Kane County Announces Its Intent to Issue an AET System RFP

Kane County, Illinois, announced its intent to issue an RFP to solicit proposals from toll system integrators and operations providers interested in implementing, operating and maintaining an all-electronic toll collection system for the new Longmeadow Parkway Toll Bridge. Interested vendors must register on the county’s vendor list in order to receive a copy of the forthcoming RFP documents. The county also plans to hold a project information meeting for interested vendors via Skype. It intends to procure back office services through a separate RFP now under development.

ARTBA Foundation Seeks Applicants for Scholarship Program

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association Development Foundation is seeking qualified students for the 2020-21 “Lanford Family Highway Worker Memorial Scholarship Program.” Applications are due by April 17 and can be found online at www.artbatdf.org. The scholarship program provides post-high school financial assistance to eligible children of highway workers killed or permanently disabled on the job.
