Airplane Swoops under DRJTBC Bridge

Lehighvalleylive.com reports, “A photo circulating on social media over the weekend of a plane flying under a Delaware River bridge is real,” according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, which confirmed that the unauthorized stunt occurred last Friday afternoon when an unidentified pilot flew his single-engine aircraft beneath the Riegelsville Bridge linking Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Spokesman Joe Donnelly said the commission alerted state police agencies and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has opened an investigation.

The Intelligencer reports on a regional FAA official’s view of the legality of the stunt.
