The Golden Gate Bridge is deferring their toll increases scheduled for Sept 1 to Sept 2. Staff realized belatedly that Sept 1 is Labor Day and a bad day to introduce new toll rates. That's because on holidays they get a lot of occasional users and the most cash payers.

Golden Gate Bridge toll to rise $1 to $6 cash, to $5 ET on Sept 1


The board of directors has approved a one dollar or 20% increase in the toll on the Golden Gate Bridge to go into effect September 1 making the new toll $6 for cars paying cash and $5 by transponder. The per axle rate for trucks is half the car rate. Tolls are levied only on the southbound direction of travel. Northbound is always free.

NJ-NY tolls rise by 42% Mar 3 - first rise in 7 years

91 Express toll breaks dollar/mile for an hour on Fridays eastbound


At 91 Express Lanes (91XLs) in southern California there's now an hourly toll for the ten miles (16km) of $10.00 or $1.00/mile (60c/km) - 3pm to 4pm Fridays eastbound or Orange to Riverside counties. Kansas tolls for college profs digs still not dead


Kansas legislators still see the need for the government to bail out a bunch of state colleges because the professors' digs are in need of rehab, and the state's governor Kathleen Sibelius hasn't abandoned her January proposal to raise tolls on the Turnpike. The higher tolls would support $300m in loans to the colleges for repairs and deferred maintenance.
