TxDOT, Cintra close on N Tarrant Express concession in Dallas

TxDOT closed on a 52 year toll concession today with a Cintra-led group on the North Tarrant Express project, a busy complex of expressways I-820 and SH183 on the northwest side of Dallas Fort Worth Airport.

North Tarrant Express Mobility Partners which also includes Meridiam Infrastructure and Dallas Police and Fire Pension System will rebuild and expand 21km (13 miles) of expressways at a cost of about $2 billion in return for the rights to toll new express lanes.

Free lane numbers will be maintained.
