Ohio Turnpike toll booth hit by truck

An errant truck crashed into a toll booth at the Ohio Turnpike's Westgate mainline toll plaza Sunday night. The toll collector in the struck toll booth was able to clamber out a window of the booth, according to early reports.

The truck was behaving erratically before the crash suggesting the driver had a heart attack or stroke.  The driver and a passenger in the truck were described as suffering from "moderate' injuries.

The Westgate plaza is near the Indiana state line marking the western end of the Turnpike, which has a trip-based or 'ticket' tolling system with side toll points off the mainline at interchanges, and only a barrier plaza at each end.
