Tom Kramek takes Charlie Mitchell's old GM position at TRMI (PERSONNEL)
By Peter Samuel
Thomas 'Tom' Kramek is the new General Manager at TRMI, a position which has been vacant ever since Charlie Mitchell left for ACS several years ago. Kramek, also a VP of Engineering at the Accord NY system integration firm now seems to be the senior ranking officer below Robert and Steven Rosakranse, the president and executive VP father and son who are the major shareholders and executives of this 40 plus ('40 odd' could be misunderstood) employee company.
Kramek, in his mid-50s, a mechanical engineering graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, and masters in management from Polytechnic University has been with TRMI since 2004 and the company announcement says he has been "integral to the success of the company's operations including the development and installation of many complex Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) systems."
TRMI known colloquially as 'Trimmie' is based in Accord New York, an idyllic little town about 90 miles north of New York City with NYSBA toll bridges and the New York State Thruway nearby.
TRMI say they built America's first solid state electronic toll collection system for the Golden Gate Bridge back in 1981 and have been busy all over since. They have a 30,000 square foot facility plus test track for developing, building and testing toll systems in this upper Hudson River valley setting.
CATCH-UP: Charlie Mitchell deserted tolling after many years we're unhappy to report and is now at a transit systems group Clever Devices on Long Island NY.
