Richmond VA chief toller Mike Berry retiring PERSONNEL

Robert M 'Mike' Berry, general manager at the Richmond Metropolitan Authority is retiring later this year. He is one of the longest serving chief executives in the American toll business having held the job for 28 years - since 1986.
Berry who is 66 says he felt it was time to go having completed the project to convert the Downtown Expressway to open road tolling. He's not after further work and says he's looking forward to relaxing with family and friends, playing more golf and time at the beaches.
RMA board of directors is getting a new chairman too.
The authority operates two tollroads in the Virginia capital - the Downtown Expressway and the Powhite Parkway and the Boulevard toll bridge plus three parking garages, a historic train station building and a baseball field.
