I am expecting big things from the turnpike. Diane is an outstanding addition to the FDOT team and she is committed to building on the strong record at Florida's turnpike in order to make it the best in the nation."
Appointed CEO under Democrat Governor Jon Corzine it was thought she was forced out by the incoming Republican Christie administration. However Christie's transportation secretary James Simpson put paid to that suggestion giving her lavish praise at a farewell for her a year ago.
Scaccetti, now 52, joined the NJ Turnpike in 1989 administering contracts. In 1995 she became chief of staff. Two years after that, in 1997, she was appointed deputy executive director, and she got the top job in 2008.
