Alan Allegretto to Faneuil as COO - PERSONNEL

Alan P Allegretto a former group president at Xerox/ACS Americas Commercial and State Government Transportation Group is now chief operating officer (COO) at Faneuil. His appointment by Faneuil President & CEO Anna Van Buren is announced in a statement today.

She is quoted: "Alan will be influential in driving the diversification and expansion of our corporate portfolio in the coming years."

Allegretto, who is now in his mid-50s, had the title Vice President Transportation Solutions & Services, Leader Toll Collection Operations when he joined ACS in March 2010. He had previously been consulting in toll operations in his own firm GovScience consulting and had worked in senior positions at HNTB, Parsons Transportation, TransCore, Kapsch. Before tolling he was in the US Air Force.

He has graduate and post graduate degrees in engineering from Newark College and has lived most of his life in northern New Jersey. He now lives in Lansdown in northern Virginia.

Allegretto's new boss Van Buren is also quoted: "Alan is renowned worldwide within the industry. Current and prospective Faneuil clients can be further assured of our superior ability to deliver progressive and innovative solutions that have maximum operational efficiency and flexibility in meeting business objectives as they evolve over time."

Faneuil (pronounced fan-yule) describes itself as "a leader in technology-enabled in-person and automated service delivery, particularly in regulated, highly complex environments in which precision and mastery of guidelines are of critical importance."

It is generally known as a back office services and business processing provider, and best known in tolls for running customer service and back offices. With 3300 employees it provides toll collectors, counter and telephone customer service reps for electronic tolling (It's big in Sunpass in Florida) plus violations processing.

Based in Hampton VA it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Harland Clark Holdings Corp.
